It’s funny how LeBron James, in the Eastern Conference, never lost in the 1st round (15 years).
But in the western conference, he has lost in the 1st round 3x in 7 years.
It’s funny how that works.
It’s funny how LeBron made 8 straight Finals in the eastern conference from 2011-2018. But since going to the west in 2019, he’s made only 1 Finals appearance from 2019-2025.
It’s funny how that works.
It’s funny how in the Eastern conference, LeBron failed to make it out of the 1st round only 2x in 15 years. But in the Western conference, he’s failed to make it out of the 1st round 5x in 7 years.
It’s funny how that works.
It’s funny how in 2024, the Luka Doncic-led Dallas Mavericks beat the Timberwolves in 5 games. But when Luka joined LeBron’s Lakers, they lost to the Timberwolves in 5 games.
It’s funny how that works.
It’s funny how Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Steph Curry, and Tim Duncan have all had multiple post-seasons where they’ve beaten 3 or more 50 win teams.
But Lebron has zero.
It’s funny how that works.
It’s funny how LeBron had a superteam with the Heat, and the best teams they beat in the East were an older big 3 Celtics team in 2013, and the Paul George/Roy Hibbert Pacers. So no wonder he made 4x straight Finals. Meanwhile Jimmy Butler went to the Heat, and with his best teammates being Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro, managed to make it to two Finals having to go through Giannis’s Bucks (who had won a championship in between), and Tatum’s Celtics (who won a title right after).
It’s funny how that works.
