Things That Fans of Teams Without a QB Think About

They pay attention to their QB’s stats during minicamp, training camp, 7-on-7 drills, and see if he’s thrown any picks.

They intently watch the preseason, and get their hopes up if the QB had a good drive. Or, if they are cynical, they’ll nitpick the arm strength or accuracy on a completed pass.

“Hmm, it seems like he has some poise”.

“Well, it’s a team game. If we give him an elite receiving corps, an elite offensive line, a star running back, an elite defense, and we get a really good coach, he can easily be a good QB!”

“Well he doesn’t turn the ball over.”

In response to when a division rival gives their elite QB a big contract extension: “Haha, they are going to be screwed in the cap! They won’t be able to get good players.”

Directed towards an elite QB, after their team beats them: “Eh, he’s not that great anyway. He just has really good receivers/whatever, he hasn’t won anything anyway/well, our guy would be just as good if he had his coaching!”.
